How to set follow-up reminders on LinkedIn messages

LinkedIn messaging has no reminders and no snooze. Your options are to star chats and check the Starred filter, put follow-ups in your calendar or CRM, or use an inbox built for it: in the Bub inbox you press H on any LinkedIn conversation, pick when, and the chat leaves your inbox and comes back at the top at that time.

How to set a LinkedIn follow-up reminder with Bub
- Add Bub to Chrome. Install the free extension; the inbox talks to LinkedIn through it, in your browser.
- Open the Bub inbox. Go to heybub.so/inbox. Your LinkedIn conversations load straight from LinkedIn.
- Press H on a chat. Pick when you want to follow up: later today, tomorrow, next week, or a date.
- Let it go. The chat leaves your inbox. If they reply first, it comes straight back.
- Follow up. At the time you picked, the chat is back at the top of your inbox, ready for your follow-up.
When to follow up on LinkedIn
- No reply to a first message: follow up once after 3 to 5 days.
- Still nothing: one last note a week or two later, then let it go.
- They said "ping me next month": set the reminder for exactly that, and mention it when you do.
- Every follow-up should add something: a useful link, a short voice note, a new reason. Never "just bumping this".
